@Stephen There’s no question about Hatter being nice to people in general, however what he did was wrong in every way. I followed Nerdcore Drama up to the end, reading all the posts apart from the last one, and none of it was offensive because the whole site was a joke. Anything negative that they said or did was in good fun, and it’s not like other people weren’t saying it (and some perhaps meaning it). When you talk bad about Scrub Club on Geekamigo, you can expect your posts to be deleted or edited, but this isn’t Geekamigo. This isn’t a Scrub Club site. It’s BBear, Kourtney and mCRT’s site and they can do whatever the fuck they want with it. They chose to poke fun at all the drama in Nerdcore and Hatter took it way too seriously. I think Hatter is WORSE than Don Vito. Don Vito just banned people and flamed some people on his site. Hatter actually defaced someone else’s site, and Hatter’s a bigger bully than DV for it.

@Bruce EPP itself hasn’t been banned, but the other members have said that they refuse to perform without BBear and Kourtney.

All that said, I’m not going on Geekamigo anymore. The site was a bunch of lame shit anyway.

Also, I didn’t get the opportunity to read whatever Kort and BBear actually posted, so I’m flying blind here, but is the correct response to any criticism to summarily ban them from events? Is the image Nerdcore wants to show the outside world one of stifling the free flow of opinion (even if its as hateful as everyone says it was)?

It just seems like a poor reaction to stupid drama. The correct response imho would be to ignore the offenders. Isn’t the saying “Don’t feed the Trolls”? Isn’t all this controversy actually giving their posts MORE legitimacy and attention?

Lo Tech makes a good point about Hatter, but it applies to anyone with a lot of influence in the Nerdcore community. Be careful how you handle these decisions b/c they can and will effect the future of Nerdcore and whether you and by extension it is taken seriously.

The content at nerdcoredrama was sufficiently inane and offensive that I only visited once, before the all the fallout, and quickly decided not to return. I didn’t take it too seriously but were I the target, I know I’d have felt differently.

Finding out that BBear was involved has definitely affected my opinion of him in a negative way. He was among my favorite Scrub Club artists. I sort of wish it had actually been Don Vito like so many people thought it was. It’s tough to hear that Beefy won’t be returning to NAP but I really doubt that EPP will perform there again (Hex banning them does not seem consistent with his personality).

The scene really doesn’t need anyone else causing drama. MC Lars supplies plenty for everybody.

Also I again publically apologize to the subjects of the last post as it was indeed in poor taste and should not have been published. I was going to delete it when the site was hacked and all the emails were posted, which included unfounded rumors about people that I would have never printed otherwise.

Other than that, fair post is fair.
